LAUREN MERRILL BUDD (MS SLP CCC)

Over the past decade, the need for feeding therapy has surged, with more children AND adults facing challenges related to eating, swallowing, and sensory aversions. At Speech Budds and Taste Budds, we recognize this growing need and have expanded our services to provide comprehensive, holistic care for every child with inclusivity. We take a full-body approach from birth, pregnancy, delivery and milestones to get to the root of the problem, not just from the surface level. Our stellar services provide feeding, speech therapy, and myofunctional therapy to assess everything from tongue ties and chewing mechanics to swallowing difficulties and sensory sensitivities. Our goal is not just to help children eat but to ensure they experience food; building confidence, expanding diets, and fostering a lifelong healthy relationship with eating at home and in the community. At Speech Budds and Taste Budds, we are more than therapy… we are partners in your journey. Let’s chat and eat! Contact us today to begin.

Lauren is the absolute BEST!!

As a surgeon who deals with the laser surgical treatment of infants through adults with tethered oral tissues (tongue ties, lip ties, etc) I trust Lauren to be my guiding light! Lauren encompasses everything we look for in a healthcare professional, she lives and breathes her patients. Lauren is one of those human beings that has limitless bounds when it comes to making sure that her patients and their families achieve success. Whether it’s an infant, child, adolescent or adult, from soup to nuts Lauren will go above and beyond what is ever expected to make sure that they will thrive under her care. Success is the only way forward for Lauren’s patients. One example is how she is present during her patient’s surgical appointments with me, not only being there to support her families but to also help guide the functional aspects of the surgical procedures I perform so that we may be able to achieve optimal results as a team. I cannot recommend Lauren highly enough. She is clearly the Best of the Best of the Best!!! I am honored to have Lauren as my colleague.
