If you are looking for a program that you don’t pay out of pocket for St. Mary’s is excellent. My son had feeding issues that were very difficult and they helped him greatly. Though if I were to do it over again, I would definitely hire someone privately. You accomplish what needs to be accomplished much quicker. It’s much more personal too. I think eating at home where a child is most comfortable in their natural environment is extremely helpful in changing behaviors. I would recommend Lauren Budd for that.

She has a global understanding of our children and what their needs are . Besides the pragmatic work she has done with my son this summer she has helped build a great foundation for his food rigidity/add versions. He actually took a bite of pizza ! That was HUGE for him

If anyone has a child with picky eating or ARFID I highly recommend Lauren Budd. My son is almost 6, only 36 pounds and literally only has 3 safe foods. He has a ton of issues with food, from anxiety, sensory, and some medical issues on top of that. All of that makes eating a massive problem. I’ve been hesitant to try feeding therapy since I’ve never read or talked to anyone with a feeding therapy success story about a child who is legitimately afraid of food, but after our first session, my son ate 4 new foods!! He gave a lot of push back and resistance at first, but Lauren was able to deescalate his meltdown in about 30 seconds which no therapist has ever been able to do before I know eating is a problem for a lot of us, so if your child is like mine, highly recommend!

After months of workingwith our son on a one-to-one basis with feeding therapy, Lauren was able to get our son to eat a variety of foods. Because of her relentless encouragement, patience and skills, our son was finally able to enjoy his first birthday party with friends. The entire event catered to his needs and allowed him to feel safe and comfortable. Lauren created a fun, safe, and engaging party where all the kids were able to play sensory games, dance, do crafts with foods, play with orbees and build Legos. Every kid was completely entertained and mesmerized by every activity until the very end. They made the entire event enjoyable and stress-free for the kids and us!

When my grandson was born he had a tough time latching on while trying to nurse and actually lost a few ounces which is a lot for a newborn. The nurses tried to show my daughter how to have him latch on and so did her doctor. Neither helped. My daughter was beside herself. It wasn’t until Lauren Budd met my daughter a few days later and showed her the proper nursing technique. From that day forward my grandson became an adorable little chub and nursed until he was 2! My 16 year old son needed a place to be with other kids, exploring age appropriate activities in the community with a trusted skilled professional, like Lauren. He's done so many new things with his group of friends: the Cradle of Aviation (after hours), arcades like Dave & Busters & Monster Golf, tried yoga & sports like tennis, bowling and tried various Arts & Crafts. Lauren and staff are completely involved and provide a space for the kids to have fun as well as structured play… now I didn’t think my child would actually participate in the structured play but somehow Lauren got everyone focused and engaged. Also she provides a package that supplies everything. Just show up! Highly recommended for my special needs mamas who just don’t have the time to organize everything but know their child deserves the best day. What Lauren and staff did in under 3 hours:

Lauren is an exceptional speech language pathologist. It’s evident that she has a ton of experience just by seeing her interact one on one with my child. She provided feeding and articulation therapy to help my son with his speech and let me just say, she is gifted. From day one, she built a rapport with my son and made him feel so comfortable! He didn’t want the session to be over. Lauren really does go above and beyond to make sure she is fully prepared to provide the best therapy/services!! Love her!!!
